PICASSO ANIMATION COLLEGE, Jaipur presented

“1st JAIPUR INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL - 2011" which was held on 12th – 13th October at Emerald (Entertainment Paradise) Theater and was inaugurated by Noted film actress Ms. Kamini Kaushal.

Jury members for this JIAFF were Mr. Govind Nihalani (Famous Film Maker), Mr. Nishit Takia (Producer), Mr. Ranjit Singh (Secretary, The Animation Society of India), Mr. Vaibhav Kimaresh (Animation Filmmaker) & Mr. G.L. Bharadwaj (Filmmaker), Mr. Kireet Khurana (Filmmaker) & Mr. Supran Sen (Secretary General, Film Federation of India).

The first "LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD" of the festival was given to Mr. Ram Mohan, ("Father of Indian Animation") and was presented by “PICASSO ANIMATION COLLEGE, Jaipur”.

Mr. Govind Nihalani & Mr. Nishit Takia showed the promos of their upcoming animated movies "Kamlu" & "Delhi Safari". Seminar on animation film production and its techniques, 2D, 3D, stop motion and VFX was conducted by Mr.Vaibhav Kumaresh and Mr.Ranjit Singh of TASI (The Animation Society of India) along with special discussion on “Animation as Career” at Film Bhavan, Jaipur.

Total entries received for the event were 239 out of which 119 were from India and the rest were from 21 countries (including Russia, Canada, U.K., Australia, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland etc.), 58 movies were selected by the jury members for screening at EP & Film Bhawan for 12th & 13th Oct.2011.

AWARDS were divided into 10 categories: Best Animation, Best Animated Film, Best 2D, Best 3D, Best VFX, Best Sound Track, Best Modeling & Texture, Best Lighting & Compositing, Best Student Film & Best Critic Film.

A cultural program was also organized in the evening of 12th Oct. 2011 and was presented by” Jaipur Beats Musical Night” at JDA Garden Theatre.
